Hair Salon Design

When you enter a hair salon or a barber shop to get your hair cut, you probably take for granted the look and feel and the layout of the room. The time and effort that went into the design was there none the less even if you do not take any notice of it!

A simple rough layout would have been made to decide where electrical and water points should be installed and plumbed in. Often new walls will be built or old ones knocked down to use the space better. An interior designer will then work with the salon owners to sketch out the look, feel and layout. Once this has been the walls and floor will be taken care of, then counters, sinks and hairdressing chairs and barbers chairs will be installed and fixed into place. There is usually an electrical hub in a salon as things like stand up hair dryers are grouped together.

The front of the shop will have a counter and waiting area constructed and designed for maximum comfort for the clients. One of the last things to be done is the decorating of the outside of the salon, this needs to be vibrant and eye catching to bring in new custom!

There are many makes of salon equipment and hairdressing chairs, such as Pietranera, Crest, Halo and Halo. LSE Hair offer all of these as well a complete Salon design service.
